Hi All-

I posted a while back about whether it was worth the miles to upgrade PVG-LHR from Premium Economy to Upper Class. All I can say is, I'm really glad I did.

Some notes from the flight:

-Lounge at PVG was really bad. This has been mentioned before.

-I had previous only experienced the A333 "Dream Suite", this was on the A346. I much much much preferred UC in this aircraft. Felt more private, and cabin seemed more spacious. There was no looking into 5 peoples eyes.

-Crew were SO much better than my prior experience (see my other review on LHR-ATL). Very engaged, very present, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Really brilliant crew. Makes all the difference.

- I mentioned in my prior review on my A333 day-flight to Atlanta the crew used the bar as their personal "hang out space" and was not utilized at all by passengers (someone mentioned this may be bc there is no crew rest on the A333). Not the case on this flight at all. A super-star crew member (lovely lady from northern Ireland, forgot her name), made sure everyone at the bar was enjoying themselves (about 10 people), and kept top ups flowing, along with cooking snacks from the snack menu.

-Food however was just "meh". For a 12.5 hour day flight, I feel Virgin should offer two proper meal services as opposed to one meal, followed 9 hours later by "afternoon tea". I don't know if everyone knew to utilize the snack menu (no burger on this flight! :( ) .

Overall this long-haul day flight was a great experience! Spent 3 hours eating ;), 3 hours sleeping, 3 hours at the bar, and the rest just lounging and watching movies. Great way to spend a day!

Let me know if you have any ??'s.

Best,

Gabrca
