In the whole scheme of things does it really matter if it is a bit late?
Out of the four trips I've done to MCO over recent years we have had some delays due to:
Thunder at MCO delayed take off. ( I'm happy to wait for that to pass.)
Delays in turnaround at Gatwick. Most recent only delayed boarding by 30 mins we still took off on time.
Technical when engineers had to replace the knurled grommet sprocket on the rotary floater. Again happy to wait to fly on a plane that has been sorted.
What is annoying is when you get a small delay at Gatwick and land just after another flight at MCO only to find 300 people in front of you at the immigration checks.
Be reassured: Flying is safe.

I'm not sure how anyone can reassure her?
Every flight could run 100% on time every day in the 3 months before your flight, then on the day a tech problem or crew issue, or pax issue or any other issue could cause a delay/cancellation.
What will be will be, of course we would all love our flights to be on time, but ultimately there is very little any of us can do to control that.

My Godson's wife is also a nervous flyer and when we went to Orlando last year, i went out of my way to ensure that she was as relaxed as possible before the flight.

The night before we stayed at the Hilton and this was able to relax her so she was not worried about getting to the Airport the following morning.

Perhaps the saving grace was putting her in the Clubhouse and this certainly too her mind off things beforehand.

Worth considering exploring options to relax her beforehand
