Schedules show the 346 until Mar 2016, VAA decided to put the HKG on the 789 instead of the JNB

Can you advise where you are getting this info from, my booking in December still has the seat map of a 789 and doing dummy bookings still shows the 789 from late October onwards. If it does go back to the 346 in some respects this would be good news as there tends to be more UC availability for rewards but I have seen nothing to indicate this change is happening.

It's published on VAA schedules. (Staff website)
Showing JNB on 346 thru until 28th March 2016.

Interesting, thanks. Wonder when they will get around to actually sorting out the site and letting customers know!! Sounds like its only been told to staff for the time being!

Looks like the last A343 flight has landed from PVG, guess this will be a 346 until the 789 starts in June.

Looking at Which Aircraft and having trouble computing chances for 787-9 in late April as it looks like this:

Aircraft %
Boeing 787-9 50%
Airbus A340-600 50%
Airbus A330-300 3 Cabin 50%

any likelihood we can see a daily history on VS 11/12? Does the seat map selection show 787 for all flights irregardless? Had friends who came out on it to IAD its last flight there and really enjoyed it, alto they're getting a 747 back.

If you can access the seat map via MMB, then that is the aircraft scheduled to operate your flight. It can always change but that's the case with any flight on any airline. Just keep a reasonably regular eye on the seat map to make sure.

Could somebody please give a quick summary of where we are? How many 787s have been delivered, what has left the fleet? Is G-VSUN still flying, has G-VSXY been fixed? VS seem rather short of metal just now (see VS43 delays). Thanks.

This website is pretty much up-to-date, with the exception of G-VSUN which I think has now left the fleet.

Looks like G-VYUM is running behind schedule(per nyc787.blogspot). Don't know if this will impact VS7/8 cutover to 787?

I'm booked for a return flight LHR - HKG on the 11th and 29th of July.
I'm flying PE on the 787.
Anyone has experience or photos of the seating and/or ambiance in PE ? For the moment I am in seat 24A.

Has anyone heard any updates for the JNB route for october onwards, they are still showing as 787 and my december booking is still a 787 but 6 weeks ago another poster mentioned that the 787 wasnt going to be used on this route for the time being. If thats the case any idea when virgin would update their site to reflect this?
