A note of caution for people booking through Expedia, I've done the DUB trick for a flight to SFO later on in the year via LHR.

Just logged into my Virgin e-mail account and went to empty the Spam folder only to see an e-mail from Expedia notifying me of a change in flight departure time on my LHR-SFO flight, not received any e-mail from VS even though the flights show in my account.

The time for the VS019 has been moved from 12:20 to 10:30 and also changed from a 747 to 787, good job I also checked the seating allocation because it had moved us from 16A & 17A to 2A and 2G ?| quickly jumped in and got 5A & 6A instead. Seems I've now done my last flight in the A Zone of a 747 :( and lost a few hours in the Clubhouse.

As you booked with Expedia they are the ones who should inform you of changes not VS - that's the rule.

If it went to spam that's down to your email provider.

Just goes to show you should check your span folder on a regular basis

When I had a change of schedule on an ex-EU Virgin flight booked via Expedia, it was Expedia who informed me of the change. Any changes are communicated via your TA or booking website. Virgin only notify those who have booked direct with them

Despite the name Virgin Media have very little to do with the airline...

If you have an iPhone or iPad you could download the My Flights HD app (http://www.myflightsapp.com). The app allows you to enter your booking reference in order to pull booking and flight details and it then notifies you in the app and by email if any changes are made to the booking.

For instance, I had one change appear on the BA flight out to DUB where the booking class changed from 'Economy Restricted' to 'Economy'.

The app also lets you export all the flight details into your device's calendar, which I find very useful.
