Getting to Tokyo on Miles?

Hi all. I want to use some of my miles to 'purchase' a flight to Tokyo for a Japanese friend and her daughter. As VS no longer flies direct there, can I do this on ANA or other partners?

When I try at the VS website, and enter Tokyo, 'use my miles' is grayed out, so all I can do is buy a seat. Any ideas or recommendations now there's no direct VS flights?

You need to ring flying club to use miles on partner flights. Never done it myself but the consensus on here is that availability is poor and it's a painful process.

It depends what class you're looking at on ANA. Mileage seats in Economy are fairly easy to get, harder in Business, and nearly impossible in First (although we managed it last month)

Ring FC and be flexible on dates!
