I feel your pain. That lounge just isn't big enough to cope with two BA and five VS flights, all scheduled to leave within 3 hours of each other, not to mention the DL flights it was presumably only originally designed to serve.

Trouble is there's no alternative. At least DL has a lounge - AA passengers at MCO get nothing.

That lounge is really not fit for purpose. As gumshoe says, when you have 5 VS flights + 2 BA ones (plus the DL traffic), you will be very hard pushed to find a seat - let alone two together.

Back in February we were hard pushed to find two seats together - and VS only had 2 flights that day & BA one.

Will see what it is like in there on Wednesday.

Hope the flight was a better experience than the lounge

Unlikely I fear, given it's essentially a holiday airport.

I still cannot understand why they actually made the lounge smaller a while back. Another example of thoughtless planning.

Welcome back to Blighty, Buns. Hope the flight made up for the delay .

Thanks for all the comments y)

The one consolation is that VS still escort passengers from the Delta Lounge to the Gate :D :D

It was a very full flight and the looks we got as we made our way through the mass of people crowded around the Gate and were pre-boarded, in some respects is better than many a Clubhouse experience ):

TR to follow soon

I was on this flight too....and in UC - I am ashamed of myself for not spotting a real celebrity - the esteemed Buns :|

The Sky lounge seemed busier than ever yesterday - and wayyy too hot for me. I just grabbed a quick drink then went and waited by the gate. I have had a $15 voucher offered instead of the lounge before - that was much better!!

Mrs Buns and I were in PE, so that is perhaps why you did not spot me :D

At least we managed to grab two seats in the Sky Lounge away from the door and used the time to catch up with family (whilst I cleared the table I might add!!)

Will be interested to "compare and contrast" our relevant experiences

So maybe another reason to renew my Amex Platinum card for our LAS trip?

What is the standard lounge like at LAS if you are flying BA in First?

BA uses Club at LAS, the same as VS. Standard shared lounge really - windowless, limited food (although better than some).

The Amex Centurion lounge is much better so use that if you can - though probably not worth £450 on its own!

Just as dire as the one used at LAS n( n(

It might be a little larger, but still hardly any character and is shared with many airlines who are travelling across the Atlantic at the same time
