Hi all

We are off to DXB next week. :-)))
I have gone for half board for our stay at Atlantis.
We are now wondering whether to include breakfast at The Hilton for the first half of our stay. They charge 95AED per adult - £16 ish.
For those of you that have stayed at this hotel, is it worth going for b&b or are there lots of options nearby ?

Thanks everyone

The Hilton Dubai Creek is at the edge of the business district rather than in the more touristy areas and apart from places like the Dubai Creek Golf Club and a couple of hotels, I'm not really aware of any places nearby for breakfast. In the past we have eaten it in the hotel and on my last visit I was able to use the Executive Lounge which provides as good a selection.

You're welcome but I'd wait for the expert opinion of buns who has stayed there more times than I have but I suspect he would talk about the Executive Lounge.

Hi - we had a B&B package the first time we went to Dubai, staying at the Hilton Dubai Creek. This was in 2011. At that time, I would say the breakfast was entirely adequate, with everything you would expect from a Hilton breakfast buffet, but as far as I remember, there was nothing extra special about it. Having said that, as it is where it is, there aren't any cafes nearby where you can pop out for breakfast so probably a good idea to make use of the B&B deal. I love the Hilton Dubai Creek, and although we have been to several other hotels since, we are seriously thinking about returning this autumn.

I have stayed at the Hilton Dubai Creek a few times now and have thoroughly enjoyed what the hotel has to offer. The buffet breakfasts were plentiful and always a good selection. B&B would be an excellent choice.

I've stayed at both Hiltons on Dubai Marina (the Beach one & the Residence). The buffet breakfasts at both were more than adequate.

Full selection of cereals / pastries / fruit / cold cheese / smoked salmon / pancakes, waffles & eggs cooked to order. Full selection of hot food too, with the obvious separate "pork counter".

Most days we had a good - but not excessively huge - breakfast and this pretty much kept us going until the evening.

Enjoy Dubai - must get back there soon... only just back from Florida though!

Sorry to be a bit late to the party on this one :|

As Honylamb says, our most recent experiences at the Hilton Dubai Creek (September and January) have focused on the Exec Lounge on the second floor. Personally, I have found getting an Exec Room at the Hotel worth its weight in gold as on arrival (which if flying VS) will be early morning and you are invited to wait there until your room is ready. In additiaon daily breakfast and early evening cocktails can help mitigate the additional room costs :w :w

Turning to your question, I would say the chatge for breakfast is worth it. In the main restaurant the breakfast is the usual Hilton Breakfast fare - buffet style with plenty to choose from.

The Hotel is in the business area so other choices nearby are limited, so all in all worth the charge IMHO

Even later to the party; I'd ask when checking in how much an upgrade to exec lounge is as it really can't take the sting out of drinking alcohol.

If you want western breakfast items then the hotel is your best best; if you're looking for a little more adventure there are a few options within walking distance.

Thanks again everyone, we have had a quote for the exec lounge too so will definitely look into that.
The hotel have said they will try and check us in on arrival, but not guaranteed etc so the exec lounge would be very welcome.
Only 6 sleeps til we are there now, 1 of them being on the plane. So excited, have started putting clothes to one side ready for packing. So nice to just have to pack hot weather stuff !

Just had my courtesy call from VA, checking we are all prepared for the flight. No offer to upgrade to UC though ;)
Anyone know the real purpose of these calls - is it really just to check all is OK ?

Second what Buns and Dubaiification say, get the exec room, but the Diera City Centre mall is not too far away which has all the usual food outlets if required.

We booked through Expedia, I just checked rates again and switched from deluxe king to King Executive room and saved £50.
Is that all we have to do to get access to the exec lounge ?

Thanks again

Just double check that the rate plan you're on does include access to the exec lounge. 99% sure it should do.

I got caught out by staying in an Exec room on a Sunday night, only to find the lounge was shut at weekends. I got my breakfast on Monday morning at least.
