I have a quick question.
I booked a return flight (with Delta as it was substantially cheaper than Virgin) to North Florida via Atlanta. I chose Delta to get the tier points and mileage on my Virgin Account.
However on my return on Tuesday evening, there were massive weather issues at Atlanta which meant that due to a delay in flights, I would have missed my connection to LHR. All credit to Delta who quickly sorted out the issue by moving me on to a United flight to Charlotte and then onto LHR via American Airlines.
It was only on the flight home and realising American and United are "One World" partners, I thought about whether I would still get my Virgin tier points and mileage credited to my account?
If anyone can let me know I would be grateful.
p.s. American Airlines were pretty awful - and I can't say I will be in any great hurry to travel with them again - but at least I got home
