Snora - what did you think of Iceland? It's on my to-do list for either this or next summer

We have just returned from Iceland. Amazing scenery, lovely people and unpronounceable place names.
Stayed at the Hilton and hired a car to cover the tours ourselves. Visited the Golden Triangle takes around 5 hours there and back. Went in the Blue Lagoon great fun! Also went into Reykjavik and visited a few museums and art galleries. 4 days gave plenty of time to cover all this. If you have any other questions please PM me.

abraxias wrote:Bretty you've really stumbled across something with that Conrad! I was looking at NYE and most of the Hiltons with availability were hugely expensive, even crossing into over $1000 a night. Then the Conrad was $349 for a 700 sq/ft suite overlooking the Hudson.

Now.....do I go spend NYE in NYC?!

Well yes, of course you do y)

I'd avoided PS until last year . Silly mistake :(! . It's a lovely relaxed , tolerant and warm ( literally) city. Joshua Tree NP is worth a view. Sorry to say I was more interested the Premium Outlets at Cabazon :D :D ....
Lots of awesome restaurants and the Villagefest on Thursday evening is a great way to while away a few hours.

Sometimes I could kill my OH!

After all the resistance to a trip to NYC (I've been on about it for months), we were chatting about our upcoming SFO trip, which is close, and how I'm looking forward to it. I asked if he was, and he ummed and aaahed and said he was sure he'd enjoy it when he gets there, and then said he was really looking forward to NYC at Christmas!

Honestly, sometimes I despair!! :0

Deep breath, deep breath and count to ten :)

I no longer give options, I just book and say we are going. It saves all the strife ):
