ANA rewards flights NYC to Tokyo with VS miles?

Got a trip to Tokyo coming up in Sept, and wanted to check the potential of booking Biz class with VS miles on NYC to TYO route - with all the experience here, I hope someone would advise if this is a likely option, or I should just buckle down and buy a seat for my own bottom?!

I flew ANA (LHR to HND return) after VS cut their NRT service- a great Business service.

As to whether you are likely to get an upgrade, all I can say is enquire by telephoning the FC team, they are very helpful. From what I have read on here, getting reward flights on partner airlines is unusual, but not impossible.
