All you seasoned v flyers all information welcomed.
Booked 4 Z class tickets in Virgin Easter sale. For a smidgen over £1800 each for uc Lhr - jfk vs003 then delta first class to mco on Virgin codeshare vs4875 so only have 1hr 50 mins transfer time if we land on time .so now after joking this site and finding out about ex Dublin wondering if I should have done that.also pondering wether to use local cab company for dtci or just roll up at uv check in desk. Is the 1 hr 50 transfer time enough.return journey not a problem as I have 4hrs at jfk.and has anybody stayed at Loews royal Pacific universal been to Orlando or Anaheim for the last 30 years sometimes twice a year so not a lot I don't know about either

Yes the ex euro route will always be cheaper, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
DTC is a fun experience,definitely worth doing once in your life, but after that just look at costs, the Clubhouse is the real benefit.
Yes shouldn't be a problem and if its on the same ticket its the airlines responsibility to arrange connections

Just to add to what enjoyingit says...

First thing I'd say is that you've bought tickets at a price you're happy with, so you've done well. There's really no point in thinking about what might have been etc.

Regarding DTCI: where are you coming from?

1 hour 50 connection time at JFK is tight but doable as presumably your DL connection to MCO leaves from T4, the same terminal VS uses. And if it's all on the same booking you'll be protected if VS are late, and rebooked on the next available flight.

Note, though, that American airports don't tend to do easy airside connections between domestic & international flights. On arriving at JFK you'll have to queue for immigration, collect your luggage, queue again for customs, recheck your luggage, go landside, queue again for security and go back airside. All of which could easily take an hour, maybe more if it's busy.

Yeah, hire a local cab to drive you through DTCI. It's quite fun. I tip the driver a little more, as it's a bit of a pain going through the barriers for them.

We stayed at Loews, in a club room, you get the evening nibbles, drinks and of course all get the early park entry and fast pass. Worth their weight in gold at busy times.

Well some good advice flight and hotel already booked as I fly on gust 15th will have to look into it for next trip

Mrs Armstrong and I returned from the Lowes Royal 2 weeks ago - its a brilliant hotel..!

We also (as Marshy11) had a club room - its well worth the upgrade. You get a free breakfast, free wine in the afternoons and nibbles and free food around 9pm too. There were some people in there taking full advantage of all of these offerings... The food in the hotel is great (if you cant be bothered with City Walk) and Emerilis has a restaurant based in the Hotel which is great (ask for a seat at the bar - we got free desert and met the chefs there and free drinks!)...

Jakes is also great - Wheels the bar manager is hilarious and the food is great and its very relaxed..!

To get to the park it takes about 10 mins on the boat and is a very nice little ride - or a 15 min walk. You will have an awesome time! The express pass now works for Universal not just IOA so get to Diagon Alley ASAP as it can get silly busy!
