Hi,

Just a quick query: If someone currently has Gold status, with their collection year ending at the end of June.

Their card has an expiry date of 07/2015.

What does this mean in terms of entitlement to benefits?
- Can you use the clubhouse lounge until end of July?
- When revenue flights post, do they post earning the Gold status benefits?

While the overlap is (ideally) intended to allow time for new cards to be issued etc, I do know that as far as BA are concerned, the official policy is that all benefits continue until card expiry date - which marks the end of the qualified benefits period.

How does it work in Flying Club?

Hope that makes sense.

Was status matched under the little red promotion, and with the credit cards and other offers, built up well over 160k of VS miles, but still not managed to get an opportunity to set foot on a VS plane, let alone lounge while holding the card.

Technically, expiry of your Au status and subsequent perks will be at the end of 06/15.

They give themselves a month on the cards to send out replacements for those that renew and to give themselves the time to update their computer records.

That being said, in theory, if you fly before they have updated your online account and the Au number is still on your booking then you will be earning Au extra miles and should be able to snag CH access.

Hope that helps
