Hi,

First post & looking for some help (hopefully this doesn't break any forum rules!).

-Virgin have told me that I can't check-in online, so I'll need to do it on person (more than 4 flights in the booking apparently). I'm not too happy about this, means I can't pick a seat in advance; is that normal?
-I've never been to Atlanta airport before, have I left myself enough time to get between terminals (already a bit worried about the Heathrow connection)
-I have 10,000 V Flyer miles, is there any change I can use these to upgrade part of the flight?
-Is there any way to tell if the flights are busy?

Cheers,
EdinburghFlyer

1. This is standard for VS. And other airlines too. Irritating yes but just one of those things

2. The connections process that VS has from Little Red Flights to T3 is pretty smooth and avoids the faff of the normal connections routes.

I've never connected via ATL but it does seem tight BUT as this is all on one ticket DL will rebook you to a later flight if necessary.

They would not have sold you the tickets if they thought it was going to be a major issue.

3. No 10k is not enough. You would need 12 1/2 K to upgrade the trans atlantic sectors. Plus you are not in a miles upgradable fare bucket.

4. Yes. Use a site like expert flyer or somene on here with access to it may look ot up for you if they read this thread. But TBH I'm in the camp that dosen't think that load checks are that useful.

Atlanta is a very efficient airport. That connection should be fine as long as immigration runs smoothly. But if you do get stuck DL will get you to Vegas on the next available flight as it is all on one booking.
