And I know it's ITV but they just said that VS sold 49% to DL when it was Singapore who did the selling.

Any more inaccuracies?

They clearly don't know about v-flyer either (more likely, they prefer not to advertise that!). Such a mine of information - the other day, we were talking about something to do with flying or bags or something of that ilk, OH was heard to suggest I had the forum here... :)

I watched last night but these sort of hagiographic documentaries are not my thing even where they show a VS operation that is energetic and very well organised. The voice over irritates me too and all of the inaccuracies are annoying but I guess they're part of the 'show' to make it easy to communicate.

It was the same on the BA programme when they said that people flying to LA in First paid £9K

She plays Myra on Episodes (in which she sounds American).
From the voice over she also does a very good impersonation of Caroline Ahern.

Could not agree more.

That said, I am sure non V Flyer friends and former work colleagues will be impressed that Mrs Buns and I visit "the millionaire playground" :-D

Slight but of annoyance on some of the disabled sites, of VS using the disabled toilet as a make up r,ooh at the start, more down the route of "encouraging able people to abuse the disabled toilets" not a good view of Virgin for this, that also started the comments about the cruddy service given to the disabled.....

I'm assuming they'd hired out that whole venue for their launch event, so don't suppose they were denying anyone access.

Assuming, cynic as I am, that the Virgin PR people have had no little input to the questions asked, presumably to point out that they aren't reacting to the losses by simply cost cutting.

Is it just me or was anyone else expecting a bit more footage of flights ,planes , being on board etc ?
As good as it's been to see all different sides of the company I feel the documentary has been lacking at the sharpe end of things

I'm actually really glad it's showing us different things. We've had so many of these types of programmes showing us the same thing time after time, it's good to see something different.

It's also good to see some of the 'characters' who work for VS and how they like being part of the brand.

Like I say I've also enjoyed that side of things , I just think it's been too far that way , maybe it's just the plane geek in me talking :-D

Talking of characters, you may encounter "Tom", the Warehouse guy, at the Gatwick Clubhouse ;-)

To me, he got the measure of the film crew

Plus, since when have 'disabled toilets' been for disabled only?

I'll have me a pair of those. She was fab and it was good to see VS investing in someone mature.

But it's all a publicity stunt. You don't think they would have given her the job if the cameras weren't there, do you?

I do actually. She had the sparkle and the passion they're looking for. Besides it would be catastrophically stupid to hire someone just for the cameras if they didn't make the grade, and incredibly cruel to put someone through that, especially also as she was an existing and loyal employee, for the sake of publicity and nothing else.

She made it through the course - it was said that only those they thought had that something they're looking for get onto the course. If you pass the course and all the tests, there's a job at the end. She has a job, and still works as CC for VS; therefore she must able to do the job.

VS is one of the few airlines, in my experience, where you will also see some CC who are more, shall we say, shapely. Their CC aren't all stick thin girls, and I like that. They invest in people and it shows.
