[quote="seany"]Impressive, am I missing a trick here? How on earth do some of you accumulate so many clubcard points? I do an online shop about once a week and usually end the quarter with 6-700 points.[/quote,

In order of probable importance...

1. Topcashback - me and hubby both have an account. I rarely buy anything in stores. I have a fave grocery retailer (Ethical Superstore) that reliably gives me 5% cashback which is eligible to be converted to clubcard. You can convert up to £52.50 per person every 12 months to clubcard.

2. Shop at Tesco, Tescowine, Tesco Direct every time there's a bonus clubcard offer available to me that is for something I want. I click through from Shops Away too - tends to work.

3. Fuel at Esso or Tesco

4. Giftcard offers - £50 = 150 points on branded (not Tesco) cards - good for retailers that don't take Amex like B&Q. 3V (not called that now) for smaller retailers I use that don't take Amex

5. Shopper thoughts surveys

Might be scraping the barrel a bit now - there are other gems people use

Have peoples miles from the quarter just past been posted yet?

My flying club number has changed (red to silver) but I can't see how to change this in my tesco account, it's still showing the old number so I'm worried I wont be credited the miles...

Edit : Managed to change the number, but not too late I hope?

The vouchers haven't posted yet but should be there by the 3rd August at the latest, all the club card boost desks were set up in my local Tesco today. Do not worry about your change of Flying Club number mine has gone from Red to Silver and back down to Red quite a few times in the last couple of years and has always managed to post to my Flying Club account.

One thing on HFP today not that I am going to come even a mite close to that amount, Tesco have put a limit on how much you can convert to Avios or Virgin of £300 a quarter. Thats 75,000 Virgin or 72,000 Avios. Think I managed £100 this quarter and that was throwing everything at my CC and full allowance on TCB. Linda

Thanks for the confirmation Linda, I can relax about that now. I didn't have a huge deal this quarter, but every little helps (pun fully intended).

£100 is impressive! :-O

I think you've misunderstood - the Tesco limit for CC earnings has ALWAYS been a maximum of £300 per quarter. It's been clearly stated on the t and cs for years. In this case Tesco have simply enforced what the maximum earning is .
This does not affect how many Avios or FC miles you can convert a quarter .

I just used an offer I seen on headforpoints that gives you 1,250 bonus club card points for completing a grocery order of £60+ online.

Only thing is it only works if you've not placed a grocery order before or in the last 12 months.

I thought it was a decent enough deal to boost my club card points. Does anyone know how often Tesco offer a bonus on the conversion of points to miles? I seen one's for back in January/March time but nothing since. Wondered if I should hold off to see if theres anything in the next few weeks?

I thought there was one around this time last year and checking my account there's been two in 2015 already in March and May (30% and 20%). I was hopeful until a week or so ago when I had an email about getting entered in a draw for 12k miles if I convert at least £2.50 and sign up for auto-tip...similar to the BA competitions... ;-(

Ah, so it's unlikely there will be anymore this year! I'll hold on to see but if there has been two already I highly doubt there will be anymore!

Yeah, who knows, as things seem to be on the up for the airlines maybe that's it all together for the bonuses. Other v-flyers will know how long they've been happening for. I will be hanging on to my clubcard vouchers a while longer too, just in case, as I'll likely have enough miles to act on a reward sale should one materialise!

Just got round to looking on the clubcard site and this offer is detailed there. What it actually says is:

By simply converting your Clubcard points into Flying Club miles between 1 August and 15 September 2015, you'll be entered in our competition for a chance to win one of 10 prizes of 12,000 miles. And with our current Miles Plus Money offer, that means you could spend 3,000 miles per person, and receive a great discount of £50 per return Economy ticket (which could mean a total saving of £200 if you go on holiday as a family of four).

To help you reach your dream destination faster, if you haven’t already signed up to Auto Convert - do so now and we’ll give you 2,000 bonus miles for choosing to transfer all your future Clubcard points in Flying Club miles automatically.

Terms and Conditions

To be entered into the prize draw you need to already Auto Convert your points to miles, to exchange your Clubcard points or sign up to Auto Convert between 1 August and 15 September 2015. You will only be entered once. There are 10 prizes of 12,000 miles. All winners will be selected completely at random.

I don't currently have "auto-convert" turned on to avoid missing out on bonuses. It sounds like I have to turn it on in order to get an entry in the draw but will that immediately convert all my existing vouchers or just future issues? I've already had my fill of sign-up bonus miles but do you really have to transfer all your vouchers to FC miles to enter the comp? The recent BA/avios conversion comps allowed you to transfer a minimal amount but maybe the prize mileage was much less...

Just your future ones, as we have just had a quarter you will have to wait for the next one end of October. You can turn it on/off, so you will have to see if its worth it for one quarter. I like you wait to see for any other bonuses on BA or Virgin, but BA haven't done one for years now.
