Paying For Seats

Hi, I have paid £25 per person, each way for a trip to Chicago (£100 in total).
My wife now want to amend the seats to different seats, the issue I have is that when I choose the new seats, I am being charged the full amount (£40), shouldn't it just be the difference? Maybe it is me, but I though I would just have to pay the extra £15 per seat each way. Any thoughts? Thanks

I would give Virgin a quick call, it will be the easiest way to make the change and get the charges correct.
