I will be flying on VS7808 (LHR-HND) operated by ANA, next Wednesday.
This will be the first time that I will fly on a codeshare flight. I would like to know if I would be able to choose my seat on the VS website or would I need to contact ANA?

If there are any other further advices, all will be gratefully helpful.

Welcome to V-Flyer.

I flew that route earlier this year. I booked my seat through the ANA website - it was completely painless. I just got my locator from VS and joined the ANA FF scheme.

It was an excellent flight - if you like Japanese food and elect to eat from that menu on board, don't have too much to eat before you get on - they give you a LOT of food. ;-)

Thank you very much for your reply. Is the locator the PNR?
I managed to get my ANA reference no. from my ANA FF. However, I am not able to change/select my seats on the website. I assume that I will need to wait 24 hours before departure, in order to select my seats.

Once again, thanks.

I did this very easily earlier this year without signing up to ANA FF program. I used the VS reference and selected to log in as a non-member of the FF program which required full name. Once logged in it was easy to select seats etc and easy to log back in later. I was able to fill in all details to be automatically checked in 24 hours prior to flight and boarding pass automatically emailed to me. I was then able to log back in and obtain a Passbook boarding pass for my iPhone.
