Lax Virgin upper class cost

Hi looking to book flights to lax Virgin upper for August 2016 just looking for advice on the cost as I can't book yet as to far in advance

A Z fare would be around £2500-3000 I imagine, maybe a tad cheaper in a sale.
Of course there is the ex EU option available which would offer a significant saving, but best to read the main ex EU thread to better understand the pros and cons of doing that.
