...a very good afternoon from the VA lounge in Melbourne.
A fantastic and large space with plenty of seating, but considering this seems to be a major VA hub I am not surprised. My flight is not until 1700 local so I have plenty of time to kick back and attempt to drain the bar. No table service, but there are several drink and food stations dotted about the place. There are also shower facilities that look fairly decent.
VS Au has far better reciprocal benefits when flying VA as opposed to VX in my view. Lounge access is definitely going to come in handy, not only for the free food and drink, but there is a separate security screening channel for lounge guests
This place does have its own unique feel, but the underlying virgin reds and purples definitely show through. After all the gold trim I have seen lately (EK) I finally feel at home.

. All the VA lounges in Australia are good ( to be fair the Domestic QF lounges are pretty ok too ).Hope you've enjoyed MEL, it's a great city. Where are you off to next ?
I have every confidence in your ability to drain the bar....I hope your stay in the lounge and flight was excellent
