...a very good afternoon from the VA lounge in Melbourne.

A fantastic and large space with plenty of seating, but considering this seems to be a major VA hub I am not surprised. My flight is not until 1700 local so I have plenty of time to kick back and attempt to drain the bar. No table service, but there are several drink and food stations dotted about the place. There are also shower facilities that look fairly decent.

VS Au has far better reciprocal benefits when flying VA as opposed to VX in my view. Lounge access is definitely going to come in handy, not only for the free food and drink, but there is a separate security screening channel for lounge guests :-D

This place does have its own unique feel, but the underlying virgin reds and purples definitely show through. After all the gold trim I have seen lately (EK) I finally feel at home.

Happy Friday all, I've got to get working on some TRs and decide where to post them all

Enjoy the VA lounge Joey, haven't been in it myself but have been to Melbourne many times [5 x times attended the Avalon airshow, a F111 after-burning fuel at dusk is a sight to behold]

Also interested where you are off to next and look forward to TRs

Will you miss the Rugby?

Have a good trip Joey, I have never been in a VS lounge in OZ, I have also been to Melbourne on several occasions but have always flown out with either Air New Zealand or Singapore Airlines, both of their lounges are fine but nothing special.

Arrived into Sydney a couple of hours ago, I will miss some of the RWC but not all. I am back in the UK at the end of September.
