Change of aircraft on VS601/2

Yesterday was the last A346 to Johannesburg and starting today it becomes a B789.

I have been keeping an eye on this to see if it actually happens. Definitely scheduled for the 787-9 tonight but haven't heard much about which routes will be shuffled to get this into operation or if there is a new aircraft on this route today.

Looks like Miss Cheif is doing the first 789 run tonight. I'll be on a 789 to JNB in 38 days time.

Thanks! I'll be on my first Upper Class flights a week from today--JFK-LHR, then LHR-JNB, so just curious to hear if anything's different on the JNB route with the 787.

My Dubai flight out in Feb has just changed from a 333 to a 346 , seat duly changed but the inbound 4 days later still showing as a 333

Have got my UC flight to Jnb on Friday. Extremely excited to spend Christmas and new year in South Africa. showing as a 787 still and has been a 787 each day since end of October. Will try and do a TR or post some comments after the flight.

Comparing it with the Qatar 787 business on the way back!!

Will test the 789 on 24th January back from Miami and I can't wait, even if it will mean that the holidays are over

Hello. Sorry not immediately to do with this flight number, but its my first time here

So excited to be flying Virgin in August but gutted to see they have just changed our aircraft from A340 to A330. As a nervous flier, the 4 engines kind of appealed on such at long flight (ATL-LHR) so now I'm feeling a bit twitchy unless you guys n gals can convince me A330 is a much better plane lol.

Guess my question is do they change aircraft type often? Maybe they might change it back who knows. Sorry for gate crashing
