Never been to New York before and I have a bit of a last minute reason to go. On the dates I wanted to travel, I have the options of VS3, VS111, VS45, VS1, and VS25 (using miles in PE!) - I am not too fussy about times as my work will be on the day after arrival.
Other than timings, I note all except VS111 are A340s, VS111 is an A330. I also note VS1 goes to EWR instead of JFK, but I am planning on staying near Time Square and EWR looks a closer run..
If this question were about SFO or LAX, I'd be your man to ask, but I know absolutely zero about flying into NYC. Which flight should I pick? Is any likely to be less stress (something I always optimise for)? Is the A330 better or worse? Is EWR better or worse than JFK for my needs (to get to Times Square - I am happy to take a taxi vs public transport)? Appreciate any insights from the NYC veterans out there
(Added: Oh, and I would definitely like to optimise for having an easy experience when I arrive Stateside. I know they have the ESTA machines like SFO but I'd happily skip any flights guaranteeing an hour's wait at immigration
