Hi all,

I apologise in advance for the childish post but can't help myself ...
I've just booked the Upper Class Wing for our flight on the 7th January to Miami and I'm beyond excited.
I've flown UC a few times but never had the chance to get the whole experience.
I called VS this morning and the lady I had on the phone couldn't have been more joyous and helpful. An absolute pleasure. And now for the part I hate ... Waiting until the day :D

I still remember my first time - it really lived up to expectations. I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy it on the day as well as having the excitement of the build up :-D

I had been sent to check in at the DTCI area on a couple of occasions when UC check-in was busy in the past and at that stage it was still confined to CDC passengers. It really felt exclusive but I can still remember my one and only time of turning into the DTCI area (we had a CDC) and the WOW feeling of the meeting and greeting from the staff.

It gives me a wow feeling too, and there's just that slight exclusivity to it that appeals to me. Enjoy! Think I've got to sort our DTCI booking out for December next...

Congratulations! We've only done it the once (so far ;-) ) but it was fantastic - and like you when I rang to book it the help line was soon friendly & helpful - I think we ended up chatting about our plans for a good 15 minutes after the formalities and my agent gave lots of tips on the Clubhouse including how good the Red Head is - I didn't have the heart to tell him that I knew everything he was telling me from the wonderful folks here! :D

really excited for you.
I loved it the time we did it. Really very cool.
Its one thing that still sets VS apart along with the CH obviously.

I believe you still need to prebook and tell them you will be arriving by Taxi. When in taxi call through with car details.

I must admit I thought all the DTCI hype was possibly over rated. I was wrong. Driving up to that barrier and then up to the waiting VS staff was very very special. I only wish they offered the same service at Gatwick.
Enjoy your excitement ;-)

Maybe they will when they move terminals next year. You'd have thought LGW would have offered them a decent sweetener to move. Although with relatively few UC passengers and the emphasis very much on leisure rather than business travel, I fear it will be deemed unnecessary by Crawley & Atlanta.
