Looking to spend 2 or 3 days in Boston in early Februray on my way back from Orlando.

Can anyone recomend a good Hotel that is within easy reach of a "T" station.

At the moment, I'm looking at the Hilton or Hyatt at Logan International Airport unless someone has got a better idea.

Last Nov I was in Boston, but stayed at a Hotel that involved cathing their shuttle back to Logan, then the shuttle to the "T" Station etc ... You get the idea !!!!!

Hi

Do you need to stay at the airport ?

If not I can recommend the Lenox on Boylston Street, its within easy walking distance of Copley t station.

Rooms are traditionally decorated but its in a great spot,
has a good atmosphere and a good in-hotel restaurant. Not
to mention the Irish bar.

Hotels in Copley Square are all good--and the airport is...not. If you're in Boston, it's a walking city so stay where you can walk. If $ means must do an airport hotel though, a ten minute Blue Line T ride brings you downtown, skip the shuttle.

My favorite Boston affordable hotel? See what rates The Chandler Inn has--cozy, well located and interesting. Boston is a walker's heaven and a quick T ride to anywhere so no worries wherever you choose--enjoy.

February--wrap up warmly, this is often a key blizzard month but the many pubs offer welcome shelter.

cheers,

A lot depends on your budget, and also whether you are there mid week or at a weekend.

I use Marriott hotels and last time I was in Boston we got a good deal at a Courtyard in Brookline.

It is a very new hotel, right on the green line, not too far out of the city and in a great neighbourhood.

The trick is to shop around looking for offers on the various hotel websites, as others have said February is COLD, especially if you are staying there after Fla. It is a great city though, marvellous shopping, food and wonderful people - have fun.

The Hilton in Back Bay often has good deals in early Feb. Walking distance of Prudential T.

I stayed at the Hilton Logan Airport 1st-3 July on a $66 priceline bid.
The rate can be lower ($45) in 'off peak'.

Nice hotel for the price, but you had to catch the shuttle to the 'T'.
Their service was a bit haphazard so wouldn't recommend it really.

If you are canny you proably can get a good PL deal in Copley Square.

Have fun

Agree - the Lenox is lovely. It was also, coincidentally, where Virgin put us up when we got stranded after 9/11....

Pondering a Nov/Dec trip here, but where should I aim to stay? Downtown, or the Back bay area? Would be nice to be near some decent shops, bars, touristy things, etc.

Thanks :D

Well I ended up at the Royal Sonesta.

In a nice area opposite the Cambridge Mall, and very comfortable. My only thought was that the corridors could have done with a spruce up ! The room was 1st class. Restaurant was however, expensive !

From the hotel it's a 10 minute walk to Science Park "T" Station and 2 stops into Boston. It was alot cheaper than staying in Central Boston.

Check out http://www.purelyamerica.co.uk for some of the best deals.

If you must stay in Central Boston then the Boston Park Plaza is the one I've heard recommended by friends.

Otherwise my friend who lives in Boston recommends the Doubletree Suites, Cambridge.

PM me if you need more info :D

Thanks Andrew. Pondering the Jurys Boston Hotel though, seems to get good reviews on Trip Advisor, and VH are doing a good price too.

For this you want Back Bay rather than downtown, or Copley Place (where most of the larger hotels are), where it's also convenient for South End which is getting trendier and has more interesting shops and restaurants than Newbery Street and Back Bay ... downtown is good for Little Italy and some of the historic sites, but none are really that far from each other and if you tire of walking jump in a cab!
