change in atlanta, from tampa to manchester

Can anyone please tell me what to expect doing this route?
I have heard i can check my bags to manchester without collecting them in atlanta. Also do i need to go tbrough security again as i do not have to collect and recheck my bag? Do i just go straight to my gate once in atlanta?

I did this exact route a few weeks ago. My bags were checked through to MAN at Tampa. On arrival at Atlanta (I arrived at the A gates) and needed to get to the F gates ( where the Manchester flight departs from) was so straightforward.

I simply boarded the planetrain at the A gates and got off at the F gates. No need for a second security check as you remain airside at all times.

The whole process took about 20mins. So straightforward. So much so Atlanta is now my choice when connecting.

Having used Atlanta for the first time a few days ago to get to Orlando, I could not agree more.

It took us only 20 minutes from leaving the aircraft to getting to the Delta Desks and everyone was so friendly at the Airport
