Greetings fellow V- Flyers from an empty LHR CH. I arrived here an hour late after a shambolic BA flight from Amsterdam but at this stage nothing surprises me in that respect with regard to BA anymore.

A treatment has been booked and one Virgin Redhead has been consumed and another one is on the way. Chicken wings and chunky chips from the tapas menu have been consumed

and I'm pleased to report that the Cloak of Invisibility which has dogged my last visits to LHR, has either been sent to the dry cleaners, gone on holiday or hopefully has been given its marching orders.

All is well with my world. :)

Have a great flight and a pleasant time in South Africa. I think you have chosen a good time to leave these about to be battered shores.

At least you are now safely ensconced in the Clubhouse and can overcome any deficiencies by BA

Have a good flight to Jo'burg

Thank you one and all.

The food was delicious, the treatment was great and I'm now on my third Redhead (and second water). The CH did get busy but not as manic as some mornings I have experienced. The VS 25 has just been called so that should calm things down for a bit.

I decamped to the area behind the bar for a time because a DYKWIA started moaning because I was charging my phone near his seat and was a bit apprehensive as to whether I would become invisible once more. I need not have worried as within minutes, I was asked if I needed anything as the wait staff didn't see the glass beside my bag. However, I was feeling a little chilly there and as Mr Grumpy had left I returned to the main area and, urged on by a former V-Flyer ordered a third Redhead and some water!

You know we need to know who the DYKWIA was, don't you? I hope the service continues to be delightful and your flight exceptional!

You're probably on your way now so I hope you have a great trip, and boarded your flight suitably relaxed, replete, and maybe just a little tipsy ;-)

And ditto what Petmadness said, we need to know who the DYKWIA was, pretty purleez

But isn't the correct answer is "No, I don't know who you are", otherwise you are fuelling their self delusion.
