Hi all,

Quick one, does it matter who buys the items through this as long as they are logged in to your account or does the order have to be in your name? Also anyone come across points not being given correctly. Have noticed several miles were a bit lower than they should have been or the calculator suggested?

Thanks in advance,

F

I think the order has to be in the name of the person on the FC account, and same billing address so that if they need to check the details corroborate. After that delivery address or name of card holder for payment can be someone else - such as ordering and paying with your partner's card.

And yes, sometimes there are discrepancies on miles earned, but do remember that VAT and delivery are excluded from the miles earning spend.

Also be aware that with some websites - Apple is the worst offender IMO - the new "premium" products are normally excluded from any miles bonus (or even miles at all).

You're often far better buying at John Lewis or Tesco - with the latter, pay with your VS credit card to pick up miles & scan your Clubcard too (& convert those points to miles). If Tesco have sent you a double Clubcard points voucher too, then a huge bonus - but recently these seem to have been as rare as rocking horse droppings.

Yup, lots have exclusions. Usually on premium products like Apple because their low margins & fixed prices.
Also sale items can get excluded, etc.
I have had a few run ins with shops away chasing miles & won each time. House of Fraser being the worst & not wanting to give me over 1000 miles.
