i just got booked on the LHR-IAD in january VS021/022, and the seat choice is between 9A and 9K), so next to the bustle of the bar/galley/toilets (there're 4 free in D/G but also at the back and with the shorter seat on the 333 i don't fit those)

not really expecting to sleep, but would prefer peace, so i'm thinking 9K will be best as it's not on the seating side of the bar, or am i missing something that'd make 9A better?

From what I've heard the walkway between G and K gets slightly less "traffic" so if it's quietness you seek that may be better. It's worth mentioning as well that 9A/K are window-less, unless that doesn't bother you!

I've not sat in either of those seats but I think I read on here somewhere that 9K can suffer from noise of bottles being put in and taken out of the storage behind it. I suspect thought that the disturbance from those seated at the bar in 9A is greater, so personally I chance it and would go for 9K.

Always opt for 9A - whilst the hubbub of the bar my be intrusive (and this often depends on how well the crew are managing things) more often than not, you can block out the sounds with the headphones ;-)

Whereas 9K directly adjoins the bar storage area and as I have found out to my cost, the constant banging as items are put in or removed is very distracting.

i've been having a check most days, someone must've cancelled as 1K became free, so i've snaffled that :)

currently 1K out, 1A back, think it's the first time i've been in A on the 333 (usually choose K for the bubbly shelf on the right)
