Good afternoon all. The day has finally arrived and we are off to Las Vegas (for the first time) and flying BA First (again for the first time) thanks to Avios collecting.

A quick whizz around duty free (Botanist gin- lush) and we are now esconced in the First Lounge. I have booked in for my "Aviator facial" at the Elemis Spa (apprently it's for men- honest ;-) )

We are trialing the Champagnes from the Champagne Bar. I must admit I am a bit of a philistine when it comes to wines (I either like them or I don't, but I sure do like these!).

It is more crowded in here than I thought it would be, but very nice. I could get used to it ;-)

Off to have a bit of lunch shortly. The menu looks great.

Hilgil- you're gonna love it!

Have a great time guys, drink an extra glass or 3 of champoo for me... and have a thoroughly wonderful trip.

I'm busily collecting my Avios and will get my BA 2-4-1 in the next few months so that we can return to Japan (at least that's the current plan).

Guten Flug!

Another 2-4-1 collector here.

Have a wonderful time in the Lounge and an even better flight. Vegas is just a bonus after those two experiences!

TR to follow please.

Have a great time. I like the idea of First, but only flying Economy and in Europe on BA means I will need to look to other Avios opportunities.....

Well I have had a wonderful Aviator facial in the Spa. My skin feels all tingly and rejuvenated (unfortunately I have looked in the mirror and it still the same old face looking back at me though :-O ). You have the facial whilst sat in a massage chair- it was VERY vigorous but I loved it. If only I could have a facial and mini-massage every afternoon, my working day would be so much better.

The lovely lounge staff have just brought out a huge carrot cake, scones and fruit cake. It must be time for afternoon tea. With champagne of course :D

What are you doing in the First Class lounge?

Galleries First is for people who have gold cards. CCR is for the people actually flying first...

There isn't. However the CCR isn't all it's cracked up to be and the First Lounge does have a Champagne Bar. I was underwhelmed by the CCR and if I were ever to fly BA First again, I would try the First Lounge next time.

hilgil is of course right, several BA longhaul flights, including Las Vegas and Miami amongst others, have departed from LHR Terminal 3 since October 14th 2015. There is no CCR in T3. But the First lounge has all I would need.

The flight was fantastic, if a little (understatement of the year) turbulent over Greenland and North Dakota!!!

I shall divulge more in my trip report. Trying to fend off the first days jet lag. I shall try gin I think :-P

Glad to hear the flight was good!
