Hi
Anyone know if you can upgrade a flight booked through delta on a VS code share. There seems to be no option to book PE on Deltas website, and the flight is much cheaper that booking direct on VS.

DL doesn't have a PE cabin which is why you don't see any options for DL operated flights.

Delta.com does show PE for VS operated flights but with the DL codeshare of the VS flight.

If you want to use VS miles you really need to book with VS on a VS operated flight.

if you do end up on DL metal, consider buying a comfort+ seat, it's not PE but you get more space, also better seat, refreshments etc.

on short domestic flights there's not much in it, but long haul it's worthwhile

If you booked through DL on a VS code share on VS metal then no, you cannot upgrade your ticket (or at least I asked this question not so long ago and that was the case).

Cheers!

Reason why I was asking is the Y fair on Delta on VS metal was way lower than VS website was hoping to book that then upgrade to PE..... however after a lot of fuss with the Virgin booking engine this weekend I managed to book a flight at an agreeable price.... Though means an extra 2 days on holiday that I wanted, such a shame :D :D :D

I booked a Virgin return flight to JFK via Delta website in economy (not sure which fare bucket but must have been lowest as flight was £340 return) and was able to upgrade to Upper via Delta's call centre. I was also able to change the time of my flight twice, It just depends on the ticket agent on the phone!
