Virgin - Expert Flyer Question

I am travelling alone on the following flight

VS27
PE (22K Bubble)

Some family are looking at joining me last minute, however Expert Flyer says all seats booked in PE, virgin website says there is seats; Virgin Holidays say no seats yet VA say they have seats but cant tell me seat numbers?

I went to my VA account to check my seat and the seat map says full.

I'm confused.

Can anyone tell me what the score is here or have they / are they over sold in PE?

ExpertFlyer only ever tells you half the story regarding airline fares and availability.

Airlines sell 2 sets of fares. Direct sales fares (reward and revenue fares) and GDS fares (the system travel agents use to book flights). Expert Flyer only looks at the GDS fare info, hence why they and V Hols both say the same thing.

VS probably are still selling fares directly for the flight as the seat map only represents about 60% of the seats available for sale.
