Hi, first post here! Does anyone know anything about a reward seat sale? The last few years Virgin have launced a reward sale around the 8th January, but nothing yet this year. Need to book MIA-LHR for August, and just short of the miles needed, but would have enough if they launch a reward sale.
Thanks

If i booked a reward seat now and they launched a sale in a few days time (or probably a split second after i book) can i cancel and rebook at the reduced miles fare? Presume i'd have to pay the cancellation fee?

Has anyone ever done similar?

Was a 25% off sale last Jan

You know all about making the most of your miles, and now's your chance to grab another seat. Get a post Christmas pick me up when you book an Economy reward flight between 7 January and 22 January for a fabulous 25% less miles*.

And as a special extra, you'll also get a 25% bonus** if you top up with Buy Miles or Miles Booster by 4 February 2015.

Bit of a pain as ive got a booking from the 8th August thats going to hit 6 months in a couple of weeks so was counting on a repeat of both the reward sale and boost sale.

Perhaps I'm imagining it or do they usually do these immediately after the sale ends ?
