Just been looking at the Flight Status page for the next few days - does anyone know why the VS19s are being cancelled and replaced with another service at the exact same times, but just with a different flight number?

Is it the VS041 by chance?

They do leave at similar times, but certain days of the week only have one flight heading to SFO. VS041 and VS019 possibly alternate.

I noticed this yesterday too. I'm fairly sure its callsign was VS326 operated by G-VSPY.

There does seem to be a VS19 operating today though.

How random.. VNEW is operating a VS341 today, would that be in service or a special? Bubbles is on the 19, but there is no VS41

I'm on the VS325 to SFO on Friday - this changed from the VS19 a couple of weeks ago, no change in departure (still 1635) and still an A346. I return next week on the VS326 which was the VS20.

I had noticed some of the VS041s have also changed to VS341 too. These changes took effect yesterday with the VS325 operated by G-VSPY which isn't in the a/c database though I know this is something Pete is aware of and fix in due course.

Interesting the VS19 is operating today though....so maybe another ATC change request for the later SFO rotation, as happened with the HKG service. Sure one of our v-flyer experts will be along though with the exact reason :-D

Doesn't explain why the 19/20 was cancelled though, only to be replaced with an 'additional flight', operating the same flight times.

Not sure this is accurate as the VS19 was not planned to operate on 25/01 - well it was until the flight number changed a couple of weeks back to the VS325! So all a bit of mystery :D

So no 'extra' flight at all just the original flight renumbered from the 19 to the 325...

And now on LAX...

"Virgin Atlantic A340-600 G-VBLU operated a London Heathrow – Los Angeles rotation late this afternoon as VS323/VS324." VSSOURCE

Any ideas? I wondered if it was the later scheduled 1630ish departure of the VS19 for a couple of weeks that may be causing an ATC clash but that doesn't explain a LAX change.

Anyone from VS ops know?

It's just several days when the slots have changed for the LAX and SFO flights at LHR so they've just assigned different flight numbers for these flights.

Part of me is wondering if this is anything to do with G-VDIA being late for delivery. Perhaps they have had to sort out a replacement service where they originally had a 789 scheduled in?
