Vs029 Xmas 2016

Hi, I'm looking at uc for vs029/030 over Xmas 2016. I'm trying the 27th but can't see any uc availability at all via the vs website. EF shows 0 seats for all uc buckets but the seatmap shows an empty 744 cabin.

The 26th shows z9 for dub-bgi fares but matrix won't return anything other than I yesterday and now D today.

Can anyone provide any insight as to what is going on?
Ideal dates are 26/12 to 4/1 on vs29/30 with dub flights on 25/12 and 5/1

Seat maps are useless at seeing how many seats have been sold / left as not everyone selects as soon as they book.

Expert flyer is more likely to be correct.

It's possible that although in the system vs dont want to sell any tickets yet or only those at the higher fare buckets.

It's also possible that vs haven't released any tickets for routes starting from DUB.

I'm sure I saw a post the other day about someone having similar issues for flights over the Christmas period and being told by VS that there were it issues with them and the only person who could solve them was off work!

It's still too early to buy Z fares for the 4th January isn't it?

The cheaper buckets don't tend to go on sale dead on T-336 - no doubt because VS knows full well there'll be people who'll pay more to book on the day flights go on sale. If there are people who are so desperate to book early that they're willing to spend £3k+ - and there are - they'd be stupid to charge less.

Give it a couple of days.

I wrote my post before looking at the VS website so was being a bit general but having now done a dummy booking for the 27th December it does indeed say 'no seats available' for UC but there is availability on the 26th and 28th.

It is possible that there has been a group booking (or a couple of family bookings for that date filling the UC cabin which on the 747 only has 14 seats.

Expedia also has no availabiluty on the 27th.

Doing an out on the 28th and a return on the 3rd of January it does book in to Zs but at a very high price of £ 4,165!
