headforpoints seems to think that the Gatwick North/South terminal move is being delayed to next April....

I was possibly going to be doing Vegas around christmas, and was originally speculating that a new VS lounge would be open by then, but it looks like its not....

BA seemed to be taking 8 months to get their new lounges up and running. I did wonder when the VS ones would be going. I suspect after the summer holidays, unless perhaps the BA North lounge being closed allows VS to build one in advance of moving....

The new North Terminal Clubhouse is already under construction isn't it - where the BA lounges were.

I can see no reason why the existing South Terminal Clubhouse would have to close prior to the move - BA's lounges will be elsewhere as will the No.1 I think.

As reported on other threads here the CH will not be closing until the terminal switch has happened which is scheduled for November 2016. Though the V-Hols v-room has closed as the space is needed for the new BA lounge.

Although there appears to be a delay in the building of the new BA lounge in the S terminal I've not heard that the new VS facilities have been delayed. A delay in building the BA lounge may not necessarily delay the terminal switch which is a far bigger issue.

You can be sure Easyjet will be pushing for the terminal switch to happen as scheduled in November unless that is totally impractical to meet. VS likely won't want to move unless the new CH is capable of operating (even if not in full mode)

Raffles simply mentions

There are also rumours that the move to the South Terminal will be delayed until next Spring, which may account for the Delta lounge conversion.

But he normally has far more information that simply mentioning vague rumours.

Two separate sources on Flyertalk are quoting Gatwick management as saying the move's been put back to late Jan 2017.

I think you'll be quite safe booking a South Terminal hotel for any flight this year.

Even if some miracle happens and they get back on schedule the North Terminal's only 5-10 minutes away max.

yes one with only 16 posts and one which is their first post and neither posting a link to an official source so until they do I'm skeptical.
