It was a super pleasant surprise to learn that I shall be flying the updated Upper Class suite on VS's 330-300 (G-VRAY) this afternoon. Clubhouse crew have told me it is one of the first to have been done and comes equipped with the same WIFI found on the 787-9.

Very much looking forward to sharing some images shortly and a full trip report.

Blimey! When did they fit that in? VRAY hasn't had a day off for weeks! Either way, exciting news if true, they certainly haven't hung around to get started. Looking forward to the snaps and TR.

Oh I do hope I've not been fed wrong info. Both personnel who told me have been with VS for some years (familiar faces) so I am sure it's spot on. Not long to go! :-)

On board and nothing has changed other than the glass dividing suites are new and frosted. How utterly disappointing.

Sorry to have risen any hopes.

You'd have thought they'd have done the reported upgrade rather than change the glass?

Ah, that's a shame. I can only assume she was referring to the small interim improvements before the full refit. Or maybe she just got the aircraft mixed up, who knows.
Have a good flight anyway!

Sorry you were given the completely the wrong info!
The A330 refits are not scheduled to start until October 2016!!

Fleet wide wifi is scheduled by March 2017 on all A/C.

I'm not sure that is actually that new. I know on some of my A333 flights from March onwards last year they were already aircraft in the fleet that had received this 'tweak' though I'm not sure they completed the 'change' on all the A333 fleet before the complete refit programme was announced.

With a few A333 flights coming up between now and April it really can't come soon enough for me and it would seem our lovely VS CC but a bit longer to wait.

Is there any more detailed information on this? Is there a list of those completed, when others will be done etc?

Thanks.

Thanks very much indeed. Any idea if the 333-3s are getting wifi?

3 of the A333's already have WiFi as they where the initial trial aircraft, those are:

G-VLUV
G-VGEM
G-VINE

The remaining A346's and the rest of the A333's where also set to get WiFi during this year as well, no idea if that is still the case though?
