Ha ha ha, back when they started the redesign in 20013 I forecast it wouldn't get finished until 2015! How optimistic I was.

As for the booking engine, I was on the blower with the premier team yesterday and the new system is on schedule for May.

As was I actually! Well, not the premier team (not sure what that is?) but another call centre rep.

He said that (and I don't quote him on this or consider it guaranteed) the new system should take some of the strain off of the contact centres, and customers can upgrade themselves via the website - think being able to view the whole plane on the seatmap rather than the cabin you're in, and being able to click on say, an upper class seat and seeing how much it would be to upgrade, and doing it there and then. At least, that's an example he gave anyway!

I think I recall reading somewhere that the 'new' system will be Delta's Air4 booking system.
