We are all so excited about our first time going upperclass . We can't wait to try a cocktail or two but do they also have sugar free drinks as I am sorry to say I have just been diagnosed as a diabetic . Thankyou for any help . Elaine
Can't help with your question Elaine, but just wanted to say have a great time in Upper Class.
I can't say for sure never having faced that issue but I'm sure they would rise to the challenge. Are there specific recipes that you could suggest to them?
You'll also need to request a specific meal for the aircraft which can be done via the My Booking facility.

We can get better, because we're not dead yet
As a general rule, alcohol contains massive amounts of sugar, so those cocktails may be off limits
For example a Virgin Redhead contains gin, rasberry puree, cassis and framboise
Still enjoy all the Clubhouse has to offer, such as a treatment and a place to just sit and people watch

Thankyou for your prompt reply's I was really looking forward to a virgin. Redhead. Do they have sugar free cordial .
I would guess that Club House bar staff will have some options for diabetic travellers

There's no cordial used, cassis and framboise both contain alcohol and I think there may be sugar syrup in it too.
But as has been said, I'm sure the clubhouse mixologist can get creative. I'm not diabetic but my mum is and I know she compensates for treats with more units of insulin (which I'm NOT endorsing or encouraging by the way), but she's also lived with it for a good few years and knows what she's doing and stable etc. I remember when she was newly diagnosed it was a different story.
At the end of the jetway TURN LEFT and... champagne, champagne for everyone

It's easy - I always ask for my cocktails without the sugar syrup; everywhere has diet cola's and many places have sugar free lemonade / tonic / etc. so just talk to the bartender and they will be more than happy to be "creative"; I think they enjoy the challenge! But as already mentioned, all alcohol is "high in sugar" and most "additions" ar as well...
I doubt the cocktail is made on order.
More than likely its bulk made & loaded before departure.

@Egg they're talking about Clubhouse cocktails

I'd be tempted to ring the Upper Class team and ask. If the Clubhouse doesn't normally carry sugar-free (I have no idea if it does or not) then some notice might go a long way to smoothing the whole process.
