787 - Dreamliner - VS006

Hi all

We are booked on VS006 - Miami to Heathrow on 23rd March, ever since booking the flight has & still is showning as being on an A340-600. Having just been on Flight Aware for the first time I note that this flight has been operated by a B787 every day it has flown since 19th February. I know that equipment is always subject to change but does anyone
know if the change to the 787 is a seasonal/temporary move? Ever since booking (reward seats) I have been checking to see if we can switch to VS118 which returns four hours earlier, if I however I thought there would be some degree of certainty of being on a B787 I would be tempted to stop my daily search for availability on the earlier flight.

Hi, have never posted before but love to read everything on the forum. I have just seen a similar question on Virgin Twitter (about) 3 hours ago about same flights but different dates & it looks like they are using A330 (lhr/mia) & A340 (mia/lhr). Do hope I have posted ok

Chances of a change now are unlikely unless there is a tech issue. Don't expect a 787

Our flights in April show a A340-600 outbound and a B787 inbound on the VS06. This has been the case for months.

Virgin US operational changes say that A330 will be replaced on 27/3/16 - 20/4/16 to A340, then 21/4/16 = 787

Got a 787 coming back on the 22nd of March, going out on an A330 on the 15th.

That correlates with my dates. Looking forward to seeing the 787. I hear it is much quieter which will be ideal for my overnight flight.
