Me and 4 others have booked Upper to Vegas on 4th April from Gatwick with Virgin. We obviously used the Dublin trick however another friend would like to come with us.

I understand she won't be able to do the Upper trick with us, however when i did a search a few weeks ago with the Dublin trick in economy it was just over £400. Now we can't find any allocation with Virgin for the same flights. I think I'm doing something wrong. Please can someone look into this please.

Gatwick - Vegas 10:30am 4th April
Vegas - Gatwick 16:30ish 11th April.

Thanks all.

The problem doesn't seem to be the VS leg. It's a lack of availability for the really early DUB-LON flights on the morning of 4 Apr that connect in time to meet the VS.

Is there any chance your friend can do the DUB-LON leg the night before? If so she can join you on the same VS flight for £499 and you can guest her into the CH.
Note that the DUB flights go to/from LHR, ideal for skipping the last leg.

Thats almost the same as what we're doing.

Our Dublin flight with BA departs at 15:20 on the 3rd.

Do you think you can match her ticket to our exact flights?

Being on hold is a pain but I tried to construct the fare on expedia and ebookers failed miserably. You really would be best to ring Flying Club and book it with them over the phone.

As it's now under a month until the flights, prices start to jump up massively, VS is pricing out at £2000 when I look for those flights (though pricing into Business Class on the way out)! But £1000 for direct flights.

Someone might be able to find a cheaper option, but I can't see anything for those flights.

Hi Mate,

This is what we have found so far.

We just need to find the first leg from Dublin to Heathrow brought forward a little earlier. We leave Dublin at 15:30 so anything closer than 20:00 would be great and she can come back on her own.

Thanks in advance.

I saw that too, but the earlier flights are booking into higher fare buckets and increasing the price massively. Someone else with more experience might be able to help.

Edit: just noticed I've got the dates wrong, whooops!

Hey!

Thanks you for sending that link. I noticed the wrong dates but changed them and it still worked! £550 instead of £1050 direct with Virgin excluding the Dublin flight.

Now she's on our flight can she come into the lounge with us at both ends?

Once again thanks for your help.

Sorry about the wrong dates, I'm glad you spotted that. Could have been awkward!!

Brilliant. Do you know how we go about getting comp into the lounge? Just rock up?

I'm extremely anal so don't worry. I would have and did notice it.

Delighted with the flights and only 4 weeks until we fly Upper!
