Frivolous question

Hi all -

Longtime lurker, 1st time posting. I will be flying VS LAX-LHR (UC) and return (PE) in Fall of this year. I am really liking the new UC Herschel amenity kit offered on the outbound flight (large, flat pouch). The one I should receive on the inbound (the hanging toiletry bag) will never be used. Is it possible to request the other when I am in UC on my inbound flight? Do they carry both on board?

Obviously, not a deal breaker on any level *LOL*, just wondering.

Unlikely, they're loaded for the flight as needed, you could ask but I don't expect they'll carry spares of one type when the flight plan is to use another.

Can't remember what the arrangements are but I thought the kits for each leg were put in the sealed carts and they can only open them on the correct leg (like some of the booze)

The issue is on the leg you want a particular kit is that you are in PE and giving you a kit will then more than likely lead to requests from other people too for one too and that way chaos lies*

LHR - LAX flights have the "Herschel" bag
LAX - LHR flights have the "hanging toiletry" bag

OP is flying LAX - LHR in UC and would like the "Herschel" bag...

I'd say it's worth asking in case there are some left over from the plane's previous flight from LHR.

However be prepared for a "no" as the carts from which they come should all be sealed before the previous crew leave the aircraft and it's possible that it's against the rules for the new crew to reopen them.

To be clear I was going to ask if they had the Herschel pouch kit when I was in UC (on my way into LHR where they would be handing out he hanging Herschel kit). I would NEVER ask for an UC amenity of any kind while sitting in PE.

Both the kits are Herschel, it's just the pouch style I would use and not the hanging one.

The PE kits are a smaller version of the Herschel pouch so that will suffice if I can't trade in UC.

I am a huge Herschel fan. Their bags and backpacks are great and the styles are classic. Thanks again!
