Well the first hour has gone pretty painlessly :-D

Good supplies of Redheads and Bramble ensure we will have a smooth flight tonight

Just one interesting point. - Check in desks have temporarily moved so that bagge belts can be replaced. A 12 week job I am told

Anyways, four hours in the Clubhouse makes up for an awful lot

We flew out at 14:30 yesterday (delayed by an 1:30 on board due to having no first officer!) and the Clubhouse was pretty much empty.

The elevator is also down so if you're flying HBO, head straight for the escalator as you enter T3.

Just at LGA awaiting a JetBlue flight down to Florida... Fire alarms are currently going off! Might pen a TR en route.

Enjoy your flight!

DXB by any chance ?

David

Thanks

Yes DXB is the order of the day, but a very full flight, so no chance of upgrade from PE, nor recognition

An impressive 4 hours in the clubhouse so I'm guessing the lack of recognition on board isn't ever replicated in the CH as they surely know you well !

Enjoy your trip ...

I wish :-D

Unlike the Gatwick Clubhouse, staff at Heathrow work shifts, so it is not that often you see familiar faces. That said, the shoe shine man was from Gatwick and he recognised us :-D

Is the Conrad you choice of hotel this time?

Thank you -- it is only a very short break

Yes - the Conrad is in a good location, close to the Airport and right next to the Metro station. Getting an upgraded room also helped ;-)
