I believe MAN is one of the airports where they can't take bags more than prior to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

Given that Virgin have only a few flights from Manchester each day & the fact that their check-in & ground handling is outsourced to Swissport - it's a pretty safe bet that check-in will only open at xhrs (probably 3) before the first VS flight. (It'll all be written into the contract VS have with Swissport).

I don't know what would happen if you are on the VS73 (the 1pm Orlando flight) and you roll up at check-in at say 8:30am when it's in full swing for the VS75 (11am Orlando flight). For a definitive answer on that you'd need someone who has tried it (& succeeded / failed) to reply on here.

Over at Heathrow where the VS operation is much bigger, I know people on here have checked bags in during the morning for evening flights, then gone into Central London for the day. (Before returning to LHR suitably early for Clubhouse time!)

The Manchester check in opens 3 hours before the first flight which is Atlanta at about 10.30. We have checked in for the Orlando flights shortly after 7.30 and have never had a problem.
I do not believe that check-in is open all day, but is just one check in for any Virgin Atlantic flight.
