I'm a self confessed price checker, booked flights in Jan for August, MAN to ORD via ATL and return SAN to MAN via ATL. Prices have varied a lot, from what I thought was the bottom, c1800 for UC and have been up to close to 4K and pretty much everywhere in between, but today they are showing as 1250 and only about £1 difference between PE and UC, maybe I should stop checking, my bargain doesn't feel quite so bargainy now!

Indeed, looks like there's a lot of very low UC fares out of MAN to various (and almost random) destinations across the US. Seems to be all year round as well - so far found DEN & IAH, plus JFK amongst the ones you've found above!

Once you have booked you should never go back and re-check the price.

Ah but you'd be annoyed if the price had dropped!

On the back of you mentioning this - I booked MAN-ATL-PHX-ATL-MAN this morning in UC/Business for a cool £1300. Christmas roadtrip to the Grand Canyon!
Thanks for the heads up :D

Karen, thanks for posting about this! I'm kicking myself because there were amazing prices on all the flights to ORD via ATL from MAN this morning, but I failed the first rule of flight booking and didn't buy a ticket straight away, and now they've all gone back up again :( However, I did just book a flight to JFK instead for a pretty great price of £1,455 (sadly not as great as the £1,260 to Chicago available earlier), so I am pretty happy. It'll renew my Au status, and I'll head to ORD the following day. I did consider doing an ex-DUB to ORD which was a really good price of £1,160, but by the time I'd paid for the flight from LBA/MAN to DUB, and had to get a hotel overnight there, the savings weren't enough to justify all the messing around.
