I am confused to why I am unable to view/change my seat in 'amend booking' - I can make other changes ie special meal options. When logged-in I get the message the seat map unavailable to view online and call the contact centre. This has happened since I have changed my flights (I have been allocated seat 10k which in too close proximity to the bar on a night flight, I wanted to change to my usual 7 or 8)!!

Does anyone have thoughts why?

If you've changed your flights they'll have to be reticketed. I'm guessing that hasn't happened yet and it can take quite a while as it's done by a small team which will prioritise jobs in order of date of travel. You may well need to chase VS.

Until the new ticket's been issued you won't be able to access the seat map.

(I'm assuming you booked direct with VS. If not you'll have to deal with whoever you booked with and ask them to get VS to issue a new ticket).

When I changed a return ticket by one day in November 15 for flight in January 16, I wasn't able to see the Seat Map until a couple of weeks before the flight, then there were only two PE seats showing anyway. Then three days before the flight the Seat Map appeared and I was able to swap my seats for something better.

I only have 3 weeks until flight so I'll wait a little longer!! My return isn't for another 12+ weeks which is the flight i'm wanting to change. Thanks Snora.
