Renewal Of Silver Membership

Hi all

Still trying to understand Tier points , but slowly getting there !!!!

I'm Currently Silver membership and my membership rolling year runs from 31st March 2016 to 31st March 2017. I will renew my silver membership this year September 2016 and only leaves me 12 tier points to reach gold by 31st March 2017.
My question is, when I renew my silver membership this year September 2016, would my rolling membership year start in September 2016 or would it still be 31st March 2017.
I do understand that once I hit gold everything resets to 0. So I would appreciate for anyone to clarify this for me

You can hit gold during any 13 month period so you'll be absolutely fine.

Unless you go to gold your account stays with a march date for renewal. Hitting golf is the only thing that changes this and resets your tier points.

You can pretty much ignore your membership year when you're not gold as you'll be able to hit in any 13 month period.

I went down to silver in November and was back to gold by March, in which time I'd only accumulated 13 TPs during my membership year. This was due to you being able to hit gold during any 13 month period.

However, when you do reach gold, your membership year does change and then you have from then + 12 months* to try and retain gold by obtaining 40 TPs.

* - AFAIK, if you got to gold on April 10th, you'd have until Apr 30th 2017 to retain. However, if you reached gold on April 28th, you'd still only have until Apr 30th 2017 to retain.

PS. When you login to your account always scroll to the bottom of the page and it will tell you the exact amount of TPs to hit gold... you can also change the month to see how many you'd need at any one time. I say this as I thought I wouldn't see gold until the end of the year so had a bit of a shock when I'd realised I'd hit again in Mar 16.
