How to book LHR-SYD to get a maximum of VS miles?

Hi all,
Still plenty of time for me to look at that but I will need to book return flights from London to Sydney for January 2018.
Looking at booking directly from the VS website, it doesn't allow me to select or enter Sydney.
What would be the options for me to book and make a maximum of miles for my FC account?
I can imagine that return flights to HKG would be a good start but then I'm stuck.
Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

I would think probably either of the following.

VS to Hong Kong & then Singapore Airlines to Sydney via Singapore or

VS to San Francisco & then Air New Zealand to Sydney via Auckland

Malaysian via KUL would still get you miles and tier points.

You could fly VS to LAX and then VA from there.

Many thanks all ! Love the idea of LAX and VA but this would automatically make us arrive 2 days later in Sydney and we'll be a tad time-constraint ...

Yes, 2 TPs for economy, 5 for business class and 7 for first class.
