i've been searching flights ex dub to mco in upper for return dates in august, and again in november, i have searched many times this last few weeks but vs flights just don't appear, i have booked numerous times via sky scanner ex dub in the past getting vs flights via man and lgw, but they just don't seem to display vs flights anymore, anyone else experience this ?
I suspect skyscanner is findin the VS flights but not displaying them because they are so expensive.
You can search for them direct on ITA Matrix. Build a multi-city trip DUB-LON, LON-MCO, MCO-LON, LON-DUB and in the advanced routing codes of the TATL flights put "VS" to force it to look for Virgin flights. Having played around with this it seems like Virgin have very limited availability in Z class, the cheap UC bucket (base fare €561). Most flights are pricing into I (€1,519) or in the worst cases J (€2,965).
I don't suppose this is all that surprising as this is a LGW 747 with only 14 UC seats and you are trying to book a popular holiday destination in the school holidays.
Nov has the same lack of Z fares, I can't immediately come up with a good reason why.
You could look at DUB-MCO on Delta (stopover either in JFK or ATL), that comes out at €1,431.62 when booked in Business and First, would earn miles and TP and there's availability in both Aug and Nov.
