Hi All,

Just wondering what people's thoughts were on the best PE seats on the 787? There are 2 of us and we have the middle rows to choose from.

I currently have selected the back row, as I liked the idea of not offending anyone behind me when I recline (which always happens to me), but now I'm concerned that the space behind could be a 'walkway' for people to cross the cabin - or worse - where they could congregate. Is there enough room that people might do this?

there'll be a bulkhead behind those seats, separating PE from the EC extra legroom cabin, with bassinets on the EC side of the bulkhead

any attempts at crossing/mingling would be back there, though with no exit doors/hatches in that area, there's not going to be much space and i'd think those seated there would get pretty miffed should anyone try !

the EC toilets and a set of doors are just a few rows further back, that'll be where people will go for a stretch

i'd book the last row in PE for the same reason, guilt free recline

Thanks! Will stick with our choice and recline away...

Once on flight back from Orlando I reclined my seat by a micron and the guy behind got air rage. He said his knees were breaking and proceeded to hit my head, and also got his wife to shake my seat. This carried on for hours and got so bad I was invited up front for breakfast. Luckily the cabin crew saw what he was doing.

Now I never recline unless there is nobody behind!

I'm 6ft 6ins tall and I hate it when someone just reclines their seat onto my knees when I'm in economy. However, if you can't recline your seat fully in PE without hitting the knees of the person behind then Virgin have got a serious problem with seat spacing. I've not flown Virgin yet (first trip later this year in PE) but in PE with both BA and EVA Air I can fully recline my seat without getting anywhere near the knees of the person behind me.

Is the legroom on Virgin PE that bad?

The legroom is no different than that of BA, both in PE and Economy. I imagine Sythe's rear-neighbour was being a bit of a drama queen.

I can confirm that he was indeed a drama queen to say the least - plenty of legroom. I suspect there was something not quite right with him considering the level of aggression...

I can also confirm back row is best, flew out on the 7 last week in 25 H and K, fantastic aircraft and a great flight!
