Hi all
My wife and I flew out from LHR Upper Class about a year ago and really enjoyed the Club House -- the ambience, the cocktails and the hot tub in the spa, in particular. This year, we're travelling out from LGW and wondering if it's worth shelling out for the Guest List to gain access to the Club House (plus the other benefits too). How does the LGW Club House compare?
- Is the food on a par
- Are there still a range of good (complementary) cocktails?
- Is there a hot tub in the spa?
- The overall ambience seems as though it's on a par -- is that right?
Thanks for any advice

Hi and welcome!

The LGW Clubhouse is much smaller than LHR's and while the staff are great and the atmosphere most convivial, the facilities do reflect that.

The food menu (breakfast/brunch only as it closes by 1) is similar to LHR's breakfast menu but there is no deli.

There is indeed a complimentary bar & cocktail menu.

The spa is very small - only two therapists - and there's no hot tub or hairdressing.

Is the guest list worth it? I don't think so to be honest, particularly as there's no DTCI or Upper Class wing with private security at LGW. If you're flying in PE they often sell Clubhouse access on the day for around £50 although it's not guaranteed and dependent on space being available. That's a much better deal.
