With 747's in such cases, airlines can actually attach a 5th spare engine under one of the wings to transport it, so today's outbound VS43 744 flight may well have 5 engines!!

I've seen a Qantas 744 with 5 engines once :)

Good luck with that one! With G-VROY reputations with technical issues and operating on the Vegas route today as VS43!

Or, I read on a similar cancellation for engine failure they flew home empty on three engines.
